Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) – October 7-10, 2014 – Charlotte, NC
Are you ready? The BCMC show is 3 weeks away! This year promises to be the most well attended show in recent years. The last few years, the attendance was less than stellar. With the U.S. economy on the rebound, I foresee a vast improvement in attendees for 2014. In fact, pre-registration for 2014 has already exceeded TOTAL attendance for 2013!
Each year, professionals from the building component industry gather to view the latest and greatest that the industry has to offer. This is a time where industry executives are exposed to the latest and greatest tools and services available to their company. Some of the features:
Typically this will be a gathering of nearly every attendee and exhibitor present on the first night. A featured speaker will present awards to industry leaders and there is typically a video that highlights BCMC Build.
This is one of the highlights of the show. Industry professionals gather and erect a home during the trade show’s duration, highlighting just what can be done when using pre-engineered components. This is an impressive showcase, to say the least.
Trade Show Exhibits
Exhibitors will introduce and display new products & services to the market. Others will present new technologies. And as always, the latest in manufacturing equipment will take up a good portion of the show floor.
Personally, this is my favorite part. Industry professionals give presentations and lecture on various topics that can inspire change and a new way of thinking. The subjects for 2014 are:
- Economic Forecast
- Gearing Up for Growth
- Optimizing Your Inventory
- Bolstering Your Workforce: Beating the Brush for Talent
- Tips for Training Designers
- Optimization IS the Answer
- The SCORE Advantage
- Turnkey Is the Future of Framing
- Looking Forward: Managing Risk Based on Customer, Product & Project Types
The word speaks for itself. Old relationships are re-kindled. New ones are born. This is a time to get to meet potential customers and strengthen existing relationships.
Guided tours through a component manufacturer’s plant are provided. This is a great opportunity to see how others do it. Featured tours this year are:
SBCA Board Meeting
Industry leaders gather to discuss issues and develop solutions. This is one of 4 quarterly gatherings for SBCA members.
The spiritual members of the industry gather one morning for breakfast and fellowship is the result.
As you can see, this is a jam-packed event! There are many benefits to attending, with the first one being a public support of the industry.
I am looking forward to the show this year. I hope you are too! See you there!
